Dan is passionate about coaching and training leaders to start, shape and multiply missional churches that make more and better disciples. For the past 20 years Dan has served with Communitas as a missionary, church planter, founding pastor of Crossroads International Church of the Hague (http://www.crossroadschurch.nl), North America Director, and most recently as Leadership Coach, Trainer and Writer and Director of ForgePDX (www.forgePDX.org). Ann has been serving CA in people development capacities for many years, but more recently has been both overseeing global HR and also participating on Communitas' Senior Leadership Team. Both Dan and Ann care deeply about being good parents, neighbors and contributors in Christ’s name to the common good.

In his current role Dan is involved with: 1) coaching, mentoring and resourcing Communitas' new North America Advancement Team leader; and 2) Working with Communitas' Director of Training to build a comprehensive training process around Communitas’ six dynamics for missional church planting (described in the guide book: Dynamic Adventure).

In his other vocational work Dan leads and participates on several coaching teams with Bridges (www.bridgesus.org) and various denominations while also serving as an adjunct professor at George Fox Seminary (where he earned a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership in the Emerging Culture).

Dan loves writing and is the primary author of three books, with the last coming soon on Amazon: Grow Where You’re Planted (2013); Growing Local Missionaries (2014), and Dynamic Adventure: A Guide to Starting and Shaping Missional Churches (2016). Ann loves community service and volunteers locally at the neighborhood association and Farmer’s Market, and also at Eastside Village - a network coordinating resources to help the elderly age in place. Dan and Ann live in SE Portland.
