When Paul and Karen Haenze arrived in Poland in 1998, they had no idea their vision to reach every man, woman and child in one city would grow to over five cities across the country. Missional strategies have changed with the times, but their hearts remain fixed on seeing all those whom they befriend choose to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Today Paul and Karen see that God is moving powerfully through replicating their work into not just four more cities in Poland, but also in Birmingham, England. Recently they began investing in a large expat community of Polish men in Birmingham.
These men have found themselves on the streets with no hope of help from anyone, and with the laws changing due to Brexit, these men will likely be deported back to Poland by the end of 2019. This tremendous upheaval in their lives is leading to wide open space for spiritual conversations.
Paul and Karen prayed and God has given them a vision for missional impact that bridges cultures by helping these men relocate back to Poland. This vision in now being realized through the new ministry “Birmingham Bridge,” as Paul and Karen have helped several men make it back to Poland where they are being discipled in a Communitas partnering ministry that helps rehabilitate men and women on the margins of society. Will you PRAY WITH US for all those impacted by Birmingham Bridge, and that God would move powerfully in their lives?
