Job Description

The Administrative and Finance Lead is primarily responsible for ensuring that The Table Dublin meets all legal and financial reporting obligations and requirements as a registered organization and charity in Ireland. The Administration and Finances Lead will work closely with the Table’s Leadership Team and its Trustees.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Table’s website.

  • Ensuring that the Table’s administrative processes and systems are maintained and efficient.

  • Learning modern Irish culture, including (at least) two weeks in Dublin annually working with the Table. (The first period would be within the initial two months of employment.)

This role is designed to be carried out remotely and is largely computer-based. There is the possibility of relocating to Dublin. However, that would require obtaining permission to work in Ireland.  Should a move to Ireland occur, a reassessment of support needs would be undertaken.

Qualifications

We seek committed follower of Jesus with strong people skills, and solid experience in administrative and financial support. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of meeting deadlines and working independently.

Also important are the following:

  • Strong commitment to the mission, vision and values of The Table and Communitas International.
  • Cross-cultural ministry experience is preferred.
  • Theologically sound and in full agreement with Communitas’ Statement of Faith and positional papers.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but may be substituted by experience in administration, finance and operational support of global ministry.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work setting and lead teams and meetings in a virtual environment
  • Involved in a local community of faith, with active engagement in relationships with non-Christians.
  • Experience with bookkeeping and producing financial reports.
  • Experience managing a website using WordPress.
  • Experience with Apple Macintosh Platform is preferred. Good to excellent software skills, including Notion, Keynote and Zoom
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate meetings with team in Ireland.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently with limited supervision, self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Keep confidential matters strictly confidential.
  • A self-starter, able to work remotely, and able to handle project management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Funding

Please note: This position requires personal fundraising for salary, benefits and ministry expenses including travel. Self-employed or bi-vocational teammates are also welcome. Applicants will be asked to go through the Communitas Missionary Candidate Process including fundraising, if needed, and orientation prior to starting the position. A funding plan for his position will be developed during the deputation process.
