Bob and Elizabeth met while university students in Fredonia, NY, where Liz graduated with a BA in music (violin). Bob, for some unknown reason, graduated with a degree in business administration, and later earned an MA in Transformational Leadership
The Wilsons were student leaders in their university fellowship and, after graduating, started new ministries at the University of Albany and Cornell University. Bob served as a University Chaplain at Cornell for 18 years.
In 1999, the Wilsons and a team of Cornell students planted the Vineyard Church of Ithaca, which they led for the next 13 years, with Bob serving as lead pastor and Liz as worship pastor.
While in Ithaca, Elizabeth also worked in elementary schools, and Bob served on the Vineyard USA Church Planting Team and coached pastors in the northeast to utilise church systems.
During a six-week sabbatical in Co. Monaghan in 2010, they began sensing a call to move to Ireland to help plant churches. After a period of discernment and planning, they moved to Ireland in 2012.
Bob and Liz live on Dublin’s Northside with their youngest daughter (of four). The Wilsons are part of a pastoral team planting a church called The Table. The Table seeks to become a network of neighbourhood-based micro-churches across the city of Dublin.
