Diakonos Community is a faith community of people on mission together. Starting with this one community we are building a network of missional faith communities in Indianapolis that seek to serve and bring the life of Christ to those on the margins of society. We collaborate with community agencies that serve those in need and share Christ through meaningful relationships.

We believe that God uses many different approaches to church to achieve His purposes in the world. Some missional communities will function as an outreach extension of traditional churches. Others will exist as autonomous missional churches as part of the Communitas North America network. Regardless of the form each community takes, all Diakonos Communities seek to bring people together to experience life-transforming communion with God, whole-life community, and life-giving mission.

Our primary focus since 2013 has been addressing the issue of homelessness in Indianapolis. Currently, we are working with two apartment buildings where friends transitioning out of homelessness live to help build community and provide opportunities for spiritual formation. We also partner with multiple organizations and churches to plan and launch Circle City Village, a tiny house community for friends transitioning out of homelessness.
