Job Description

We are looking for missionally-minded teammates who will join us in serving in Sicily, Italy. We desire to build authentic relationships and learn from and with one another as we welcome each other into our homes and lives and invite others to join us as we follow Jesus. If you feel God is leading you to build His kingdom in Italy, this may be for you!

We currently have two projects in Sicily. They are located in Syracuse and in the outskirts of Catania. Although we are open to however God may be calling you, we are specifically looking for help in an established Italian church in Syracuse, which is growing and in a phase of discernment for church planting endeavors. We also need team members outside of Catania who are willing to come with a discerning heart to minister creatively and embed in the lives of locals.

This position is flexible. It can be a part or full-time team member, as well as a short or long-term intern.

Qualifications

• Have a burning desire to make God famous among the nations.
• Maintain a learning posture and growing walk with Christ, a positive and encouraging spirit, and a strong commitment to the purpose and values of Communitas.
• A self-starter, able to work remotely, and able to handle project management.
• Must be flexible and able to adjust to a changing work environment and challenges.
• Preferably someone able to make a long-term commitment

Funding

The salary and ministry expenses of this position are funded through personal support raising. Self-employed or bi-vocational teammates are also welcome. Applicants will be asked to go through the Communitas Missionary Candidate Process including fundraising if needed and orientation prior to starting the position. A funding plan for this position will be provided during the deputation process.

Sicily needs your help! If you have a heart for Sicily but can’t come to serve physically on the island, there are many ways you can help. For example, if you’re great with graphics we could use a few hours of your time making our ministry materials look amazing. If you are a prayer warrior we have ways you can pray for what God is doing here. If you are a professional and could give a few hours of your time teaching us new skills, we need that too.
