Brent has been relying on the goodness and love of Christ to sustain and lead him most of his life. In college at Elon University, he served with Young Life’s high school ministry for two years followed by leading a college freshman small group with InterVarsity in his senior year. He graduated with an accounting degree in 2012, and one year later became a CPA. He spent 11 years working for a firm that audits Christian nonprofits, and towards the end of that time felt the Lord calling him to transition working directly for Christian ministries.

Currently, Brent spends most of his professional time with Communitas but is also involved helping other organizations around Colorado with some of their accounting needs. He is once again volunteering with Young Life, this time leading for their college ministry at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He is passionate about ministering to his college-aged friends about the love of Christ and the call of the gospel to spread the Kingdom of God here on earth through our relationships and interactions with one another. He likes to spend his time hiking, weightlifting, skiing, and indoor rock climbing. He also owns and keeps up a few classic cars.
