Faith Olson

I was raised in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California, but my home has been Williamsburg, VA for many years.

I’m pretty much the exception to the missionary rule: retired, widowed and certainly not 30-something anymore. I’ve been married twice, widowed twice – and so am the “matriarch” of a fairly large blended family. 5 kids + spouses, 11 grandkids, 2 great-grands. Lots of reasons to stay home and spoil them all, but God had other and better plans. Exciting, fun, totally unexpected plans!

I was invited to join The Well – a Communitas church plant – in Brussels, Belgium!! After years of leading missions at my home church, He called me to be part of the action on the field.

I love the multi-cultural nature of this city and this ministry. I love the fact that Brussels is the crossroads of Europe. People come for a while and then return to their home countries. The opportunity here to walk alongside young adults as they go deeper in their faith, to see new babies born into life in Jesus, and to be part of equipping them all to be reproducers in their home countries and cultures is a gift and blessing I didn’t even know to ask for.

Just another example of the truth of Eph. 3:20 and Jer. 29:11!
